The 2021 Tempranillo is our 21st vintage of this noble Spanish grape that we first planted in our Amador County vineyard back in 1998.  The variety has a natural affinity to our vineyard site and tends to produce big well-structured reds. Over the years we've learned a lot about how to grow the vines and craft the wines, and are delighted with the quality from the 2021 vintage. The wines has deep dark fruit flavors, is well structured with mouth-coating tannins, but still retains a lively freshness that makes for a delicious drinking wine.
